Welcome to the forum Steve, very nice car, I love this colour although I feel your pictures are slightly overexposed and don't pay tribute to this great colour. You said the car was heavily damaged but did you repair or replace the bodyshell? Very nice work saving one V, this car deserves it, great job.

I repaired the car

Waoooh that's a job!!! Have you actually counted the hours spent on it cause I'm pretty sure it was way over 300 hrs. It sure came out great, you can be proud

Hi Phil
300 hours was a guess yes, that was just for the repairs only, not including taking engine out for belts, polishing plenum, changing seats, the gearbox is out now for a cracked casing from the accident also not included in the hours.
I think its best you dont keep a total on the hours or the costs, but as a guide car was €7000 repairs €7000, but car only valued at €13,000 in UK, so the hours are all FREE and will still loose money if i sell it.

Sure but it is YOUR car that you now know like the back of your hand and you get the pride of saving one V that would have been parted out otherwise. I'm impressed

I don't think I would have had the guts to take on a job like that myself.
